Whether clinching global championships or setting world records, cricketers have led the charge in bringing honour to the nation.

The cricket community utilized social media platforms to extend their well-wishes on this significant occasion. Rohit Sharma, the captain of the Indian men’s cricket team, shared a heartwarming message, encapsulating the spirit of the day.

“The tricolour means more than words can ever convey. Happy Independence Day,” tweeted Rohit.

Former India cricketer Suresh Raina took to his official Twitter handle and wrote: “Wishing my fellow Indians a joyous #IndependenceDay! Let’s honor the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and cherish the spirit of unity in diversity. May the tricolor always fly high, symbolizing unity in diversity. #JaiHind!”

Talented batter Suryakumar Yadav shared a photo of himself holding the Indian Tricolor with a heartwarming message.

“A nation like no other, an honour comparable to none. Wishing everyone a very happy Independence Day! May our country continue to rise and shine and may we do our best to continue to contribute to its glory!” tweeted Surya.

Legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar wrote: “I love my India सभी भारतीयों को मेरी ओर से स्वतंत्रता दिवस की हार्दिक शुभकामनाएं। Wishing all my fellow Indians across the world a very happy Independence Day. जय हिंद”

Ajinkya Rahane, who captained India to the memorable Border-Gavaskar Trophy triumph in 2021, wrote: “May we embark on a collective journey of growth, goodwill, and prosperity as we celebrate our 77th Independence Day. Jai Hind”
