Sri Lanka’s innings struggled to gain momentum as wickets fell at regular intervals. Harshitha Samarawickrama was the top scorer for her side, contributing 35 runs off 44 deliveries. However, a collective effort from the England’s bowling attack, led by debutant Mahika Gaur and Sarah Glenn, kept the Sri Lankan Women’s team under control.
