“Mujeeb Ur Rahman against Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan will be one. Fazalhaq Farooqi against India’s top-order. Naveen-ul-Haq vs Virat Kohli will be an interesting matchup. They have had a history, but it’s good to see them going head-to-head against each other. I would like to see Rashid Khan vs KL Rahul as well,” Uthappa said on his YouTube channel.

For the unversed, Naveen and Kohli got engaged in a fiery confrontation during the IPL 2023, precisely during a Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) away match against Lucknow Supergiants (LSG). The intense clash wasn’t limited to just Naveen and Kohli, as it also involved verbal spat with LSG mentor Gautam Gambhir, creating a memorable yet infamous IPL encounter.
Throughout the IPL season, Naveen reportedly used his Instagram stories to playfully taunt Kohli. In response, passionate Kohli fans did not hold back in their criticism of Naveen for both his on-field and off-field behavior.
