As the ODI World Cup 2023 approaches, cricket enthusiasts all over the world are eagerly awaiting the spectacle that will return to Indian shores after a decade. The excitement is palpable, and fans are anticipating India to clinch the championship once again, like in 2011. Amidst this frenzy, Bollywood superstar Suniel Shetty also couldn’t contain his enthusiasm and decided to offer some special advice to his son-in-law and the Indian batting sensation KL Rahul.
KL Rahul’s marriage with Athiya Shetty and dream comeback after injury
It is worth mentioning that Rahul tied the knot with Suniel’s daughter Athiya Shetty earlier this year in January and has had his fair share of challenges in recent months, including a thigh surgery that kept him away from competitive cricket. However, he made a stunning comeback to the international arena with a brilliant century against Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2023.
Rahul further also played a pivotal role in India’s series-clinching victory over Australia, contributing with back-to-back half-centuries. The Karnataka-born cricketer even stepped up as the stand-in captain for the Men in Blue in the absence of Rohit Sharma, leading the team in the first two matches.
