In a commanding display of batting prowess, Australia Women emerged victorious against India Women in the 3rd ODI at Wankhede Stadium. With the victory, the tourists also registered a clean sweep in the three-match series.

Phoebe Litchfield leads Australia to a commanding total

Opting to bat after winning the toss, Australia posted an imposing total of 338/7 in their 50 overs. Phoebe Litchfield was the star of the show, amassing a brilliant 119 runs off 125 deliveries, including 16 fours and 1 six.

Captain Alyssa Healy contributed a formidable 82 runs, while Ashleigh Gardner and Alana King added quick runs towards the end with scores of 30 and 26, respectively. Shreyanka Patil stood out with the ball, claiming 3 wickets for 57 runs in her 10 overs. Pooja Vastrakar and Deepti Sharma also made contributions with the ball, taking 1 wicket each.

Georgia Wareham wreaks havoc with the ball

In reply, India Women faced a formidable target but struggled to build partnerships, eventually being bowled out for 148 in 32.4 overs. Smriti Mandhana top-scored with 29, but the Indian batters found it challenging to counter the disciplined Australian bowling attack.

Georgia Wareham was the wrecker-in-chief, securing 3 wickets for just 23 runs in her 6.4 overs. Litchfield was named Player of the Match as well as Player of the Series.
