Leus du Plooy was the top scorer for Joburg Super Kings, playing a blistering knock of 48 runs off 24 balls, which included 6 fours and 2 sixes. However, the rest of the batting lineup struggled to make a significant impact. Shepherd provided some resistance with a quickfire 34 runs off 19 balls, hitting 3 fours and 2 sixes. Ultimately, their efforts fell short as MI Cape Town’s bowlers proved too strong.

MI Cape Town’s bowlers put up an impressive performance, with George Linde leading the way by taking 2 wickets for just 25 runs in his 4 overs. Beuran Hendricks, Kagiso Rabada, Liam Livingstone, and Sam Curran claimed 1 wicket each. Olly Stone also impressed one and all with 2 wickets for 18 runs in 2.5 overs.
