Archer’s resilience amidst setbacks: From World Cup 2019 triumph to comeback trail

Archer, a crucial part of England’s World Cup-winning squad in 2019, has faced challenges with injuries in recent years. He underwent multiple elbow operations and experienced a stress fracture of the back. After more than a year on the sidelines, Archer returned to international cricket in January of the previous year.

He participated in the SA20 2023 and ODI series in South Africa before joining the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 in India. Unfortunately, during the IPL while playing for Mumbai Indians (MI), Archer suffered a recurrence of a stress fracture to his right elbow, leading to his absence from the home Ashes series and the Cricket World Cup in India. Despite challenges, his recent appearance signals a resilient comeback to the cricketing arena.
