Despite the controversy, the match itself was a thrilling affair. The Royals posted a competitive total of 196/3, courtesy of impressive performances by Riyan Parag (68) and Samson (76). In response, the Titans faced a tough chase but ultimately emerged victorious.
Led by Gill’s stellar knock of 72 runs off 44 balls, GT secured a nail-biting win, with Rashid Khan (24 not out) and Rahul Tewatia (22) steering the team to victory on the last delivery of the innings.

“I would have loved to finish the game, but very happy with Rahul and Rashid bhai for finishing the job for us. Winning the ball off the last ball is always a great feeling. He (Rashid Khan) is someone who you always want in your team, he is such a competitor,” said Gill after the match.
