In the highly anticipated Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 clash between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Delhi Capitals (DC), Philip Salt and Varun Chakravarthy emerged as standout performers.
While DC set a total of 153/9 in 20 overs, KKR chased it down easily in the 17th over, securing a commanding 7-wicket victory. However, it was Vaibhav Arora who stole the show with a stunning delivery that dismissed Shai Hope.
Vaibhav Arora’s brilliance
The critical juncture transpired in the fourth over of DC’s Innings, as Vaibhav unleashed a well-pitched delivery that sharply curved inwards. Hope, endeavouring a drive, faltered with his footwork, appearing rooted at the crease. The inswinging delivery, outsmarting him with its pace and swing, demolished his off-stump, promptly sending him marching back to the pavilion.
