ODI series schedule against India
The ODI series will kick off on August 2, followed by the second match on August 4, concluding with the final match on August 7. All three fixtures will be played at the R. Charith Asalanka has been appointed as the captain for the ODI series, taking over the reins from Kusal Mendis, who previously led the side in the 50-over format. Asalanka’s leadership will be crucial as Sri Lanka aim to build on their recent performances. In the pace department, the formidable duo of Dilshan Madhushanka and Matheesha Pathirana will lead the attack, known for their speed and accuracy. All-rounder Chamika Karunaratne has also been included, adding depth and versatility to both the batting and bowling units.
Injury updates
Dushmantha Chameera, who was ruled out of the T20I series due to bronchitis and a respiratory infection, will miss the ODI series as well.
