During his appearance on Pakistan’s popular show, Hasna Mana Hai, Amir expressed his views with unwavering confidence. He pinpointed Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah as the linchpin players capable of leading India to World Cup victory.
“Agar ye teen bande from Day 1 se perform karenge naa—Bumrah, Rohit aur Kohli—India final jeetega,” (If these three individuals – Bumrah, Rohit, and Kohli – deliver from day one, India will triumph in the final,”) Amir said.
It’s worth noting that India haven’t clinched an ICC trophy since their triumphant campaign in the 2013 Champions Trophy, when MS Dhoni‘s team emerged victorious against England in the final at Edgbaston.
