The 17th match of the ODI World Cup 2023 between India and Bangladesh treated fans to a thrilling cricketing action. The intense showdown commenced at Pune’s MCA stadium and was even graced by legendary Sachin Tendulkar’s daughter, Sara Tendulkar. However, it was not just her mere presence that caught everyone’s attention, but her heartwarming reaction to a boundary hit by Shubman Gill that stole the show and delighted fans.

Sara Tendulkar’s enthusiasm for Shubman Gill’s boundary

The magical moment occurred during the seventh over of India’s innings when Shubman took a bold approach and went down the track to hammer Hasan Mahmud over mid-off. Although the ball took a thick outside edge, it still managed to find its way to the boundary rope over the slip region. As the red leather went for a four, the camera soon turned towards Sara in the stands, and her elation was palpable. She enthusiastically applauded Shubman’s boundary stroke, and the heartwarming gesture instantly went viral on the internet.

The romance rumours of Sara and Shubman

The bond between Shubman and Sara has been the subject of speculation for quite some time now. Their close friendship has fueled rumours of a romantic relationship. While the exact nature of their relationship remains a matter of curiosity, there is no doubt that Sara’s support for Shubman during this crucial match added an extra layer of intrigue to the ongoing speculation.

The exciting match between India and Bangladesh

The game itself was a rollercoaster of emotions with Bangladesh batters started off decently and then crumbled in front of Indian bowlers. Tanzid Hasan and Litton Das were the only batters to hammer half-centuries for their team. Tanzid scored 51 runs from 43 balls, while Litton contributed 66 runs from 82 balls. However, Mahmudullah‘s quick 46 from 36 balls later bolstered Bangladesh’s total, as they managed to score 256/8 in their allotted 50 overs.

In reply, India’s run chase got off to an excellent start, with Shubman and Rohit Sharma laying the foundation for the Indian innings. Shubman even went on to score a fifty, and his innings was a testament to his skill and resilience, especially after recovering from Dengue and missing the first two games of the ODI World Cup 2023.
