Akram, acknowledging cricket’s top-tier names, emphasized the unique style of Rohit, highlighting his unparalleled ability to make batting appear effortless. The former pacer lauded the Mumbai-born cricketer’s capacity to adapt to any scenario, effortlessly taking charge and altering the game’s tempo from the very start. Akram noted how the right-handed batter consistently keeps bowlers and opponents on their back foot right from the outset, distinguishing himself as a standout force in the cricketing realm.
“I don’t think there is anyone like Rohit Sharma in the World cricket. We talk about emperor Kohli , Joe Root, Williamson, Babar Azam but this guy is different. He makes batting look so easy. No matter what the situation is, the bowling attack is, he plays his shots with ease. He changes the tempo of the game. Bowlers and oppositions are on the back foot from ball one,” Akram mentioned in his comments on A Sports.

Akram draws parallels between Rohit and Inzamam-Ul-Haq
Comparing Rohit’s timing and composure with the former Pakistan skipper Inzamam-ul-Haq, Akram further highlighted the 36-year-old’s exceptional hand-eye coordination and natural ability to handle pace bowlers.
“Like Inzamam, Rohit too has a lot of time against the pacers. His hand eye coordination is so natural,” the 57-year-old added.
