IPL 2019: Virat Kohli responds to Jasprit Bumrah’s “Cheeku Bhaiya” jibe in style

Ahead of the 12th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Jasprit Bumrah in a recent advertisement claimed that he is still not the best bowler in the world for he hasn’t had much success against Virat Kohli – his captain in the national team and the world’s best batsman in current time.

“Aar aha hoon Cheeku bhaiya! Aur iss baar aap mere team mein bhi nehi rahenge,” Bumrah said.

On Wednesday, Kohli responded to Bumrah’s jibe and had a brief message for the youngster as the banter between the fiery duo continued. Kohli and Bumrah are all set to face each other in the IPL with their respective franchises Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Mumbai Indians (MI) and the duel between two of the finest of their trade will prove to be an epic one.

Responding to Bumrah’s warning that he won’t be on Kohli’s side in the IPL, the Indian skipper said, “Cheeku bhaiya! Apne captain ko sledge karega, chal…aakhir seekh hi gaya tu..bas apne Cheeku bhaiya se koi udhari expect mat karna.” (You will sledge your captain now, good that you have also learnt how to sledge now but don’t expect any favours from your Cheeku bhaiya)

Here’s the video:

The fans will be watching the two stars locking horns exactly a month later, on March 28, when RCB will take on MI at their home ground in Bengaluru.
