MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings (CSK) made a phenomenal start to their title defence by defeating Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the IPL 2019 opener by seven wickets at the Chepauk stadium on Saturday.
The three-time champions were all over their opponents in what was a one-way contest, despite it being billed as a fixture to look out for. Batting first, RCB were bowled out for a paltry 70, and then the hosts chased it down comfortably.
After the match, Dhoni was seen giving some valuable batting tips to RCB youngster Shivam Dube who played his first IPL game last night. Other young guns like Prayas Ray Barman and Washington Sundar were also jotting down those tips from the stalwart.
