Rohit Sharma smashed 140, Virat Kohli hit 77, KL Rahul scored, Kuldeep Yadav, Hardik Pandya, and Vijay Shankar picked crucial wickets as India thrashed Pakistan by 89 runs (DLS) at the Old Trafford in Manchester on Sunday.
India has now won all their 7 World Cup matches against Pakistan.
1992, 1996, 1999, 2003, 2011, 2015 and 2019 – India has defeated Pakistan in all these World Cups. And Sunday’s victory happened to be India’s biggest ever over their arch-rivals in any World Cup match.
With this victory, India moves to the third spot in the Points table with 7 points.
Rohit Sharma was awarded the Man of the Match for his brilliant knock of 140 runs in 113 balls (14 fours & 3 sixes).

Congratulations to @BCCI on a well deserved win today. The standard of cricket being played has been exceptionally high & credit goes to IPL for not only helping identify & harness talent, but also in equipping younger players with pressure handling techniques #CWC19 #PAKVIND https://t.co/MfiwQxwjrK

Professional & unaffected by the hype & drama of today’s game.
@imVkohli @ImRo45 @klrahul11 ‘s solid knocks put us in the drivers seat & @imkuldeep18 @hardikpandya7 did the rest with ball. Done & dusted. Well done boys! (Who else got nostalgic with Rohit’s 6?)#INDvPAK #CWC19— Saiyami Kher (@SaiyamiKher) June 16, 2019
