Team India captain Virat Kohli turned ‘Secret Santa’ and won hearts of many with his visit to a shelter home in Kolkata ahead of Christmas 2019. The 31-year-old- surprised the young kids with his disguised appearance as Santa Claus.
Star Sports, the official broadcaster of ongoing India vs West Indies series, shared the video on Twitter in which the little ones can be seen talking about the gifts they want from Santa Claus on Christmas. After some time, Kohli comes to the room where all the kids were waiting for their Santa.
The underprivileged kids also talked about their favorite sportsperson. They named Sachin Tendulkar, PV Sindhu, Cristiano Ronaldo, MS Dhoni, and of course, Virat.
One of the boys said he likes Virat because of his beard, and it made the Indian skipper laugh.
When Virat joined the kids, it was heartwarming to see a smile on their faces. They were not expecting Kohli to come. As soon as he removed his beard, the kids recognized him and ran towards him for a hug.
In the end, Kohli signed off with a message for everyone: “These moments are special for me.”
“All these kids cheer for us throughout the year, and I had a great time bringing joy to all these kids. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all of you,” he said in the video.
