New Zealand made up for a tough day with the bat on Sunday at Hagley Oval, where they were rolled for 235, fighting back impressively with the ball in the final session.
India were in strife at 90-6 in their second innings at stumps, giving them a lead of 97 runs on a drama-filled day, where a staggering 16 wickets tumbled.
The talking point in the match, however, came when the Indian skipper Virat Kohli was spotted using abusive words for a particular section of the Christchurch crowd that was chanting something against Team India.
It is well known that Kohli sometimes gets carried away with his emotions and the same happened on Day 2 after the dismissal of Black Caps opener Tom Latham.
The instance happened when Latham got bowled off a Mohammed Shami delivery. Soon, Kohli jumped up in joy to express his happiness over the dismissal of Latham. Meanwhile, he turned towards the Kiwi spectators and said: “Shut the f**k up.”
