Following the recent trend of cricketers engaging in the interactive sessions with fans, Haider Ali conducted a quick Q/A session a few days back.
One of the cricket fans asked the Pakistan U-19 sensation who amongst Babar Azam, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli is his batting idol.
Ahead of his countryman – Babar – and the best batsman across all formats – Kohli – Haider picked Rohit as his batting idol.

Ali last featured in the U19 World Cup semi-finals at Potchefstroom against India. His valiant 56 was not enough to post a challenging total in front of the Indian batting lineup.
Since then, Haider had a few decent outings in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) while representing Peshawar Zalmi.
“My idol is Rohit Sharma. The best thing about him is his strike rate and I want that in my game,” the 19-year old told Cricket Pakistan.
In the nine games during PSL, Haider amassed 258 runs at a scorching strike-rate of almost 159. Former Pakistan cricketer turned commentator, Ramiz Raja, seemed impressed with the young batting talent.
“His template should be Virat Kohli or Babar Azam. These players have staggering numbers despite not improvising too much because they have such strong skills and conventional shots that they can be consistent and be match-winners,” Raja stated during PSL.
