The story of David Warner progression through the ranks is a unique one. Before coming into the radar of the Australian selectors, it was Delhi Daredevils’ scouting team who spotted the talent of the explosive southpaw.
From there on, he went to receive his maiden international cap in the shortest format of the game and then established himself in all formats of the game.
Therefore, it is not a matter of surprise that the India Premier League (IPL) holds a special place in the heart of the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) captain.
However, it took Warner an-eight-year-wait to get his hands on the coveted title in 2016, since making his IPL debut in 2009.
On Friday, Warner was asked to name his favourite moment in the IPL thus far. It was the win in the finals of 2016 edition of the tournament against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), which Warner tagged as his favourite IPL moment.
Well, that's our favourite IPL moment 🏆 too, @davidwarner31! 🧡

The SRH captain led from the front with an astronomical tally of 858 runs in the season, most by any overseas batsmen in the IPL overall, second to only Virat Kohli’s 950+ tally in the same season.
In the David vs Goliath encounter, it was Warner’s side which came out triumphant as they managed to marginally defend the grand total with the likes of Gayle and Kohli almost taking the game away from them.
Later, he nominated his Sunrisers teammates, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Kane Williamson, to name their favourite IPL moment, in SRH’s effort to follow trend amid lockdown.
