Anushka Sharma, Bollywood actress and wife of India’s top batter Virat Kohli, has heaped praises on her husband after he smashed his 46th ODI century during the third and final game against Sri Lanka at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday.
Kohli’s unbeaten 166-run knock powered India to a mammoth total of 390/6, which proved too much for Sri Lanka in the end. The visitors were bundled out for a paltry 73 in just 22 overs.
Apart from winning the ‘Player of the Match’ award, Kohli also sealed the ‘Player of the Series’ trophy for his outstanding performance in the three-match ODI leg against Sri Lanka. He had slammed a ton in the series opener at Guwahati on Tuesday, January 10.
Anushka, who is portraying former India women cricketer Jhulan Goswami in her biopic ‘Chakda Xpress’, took to Instagram to share a lovely picture of her hubby from the third ODI.
“What a Guy. Shabaaash. What an inning played,” the model-turned-action wrote in the caption.
Virat and Anushka have continued to dish out couple goals ever since they got married. The power couple has completed five years of marriage as they tied the knot in a secret ceremony in Italy in December 2017. Virat and Anushka have a daughter Vamika, who turned two five days ago.
On her little princess’ birthday, Virat shared an adorable picture with Vamika and wrote, “My heartbeat is 2” along with a red heart emoji.
Kohli will next be seen in action in the upcoming three-match ODI series against New Zealand.
