Former England women cricketer Sarah Taylor has announced that she is expecting her first child with partner Diana.
Sharing the news with her fans on social media, Sarah said: “Being a mother has always been my partner’s dream. The journey hasn’t been an easy one but Diana has never given up. I know she will be the best mum and I’m so happy to be a part of it. 19 weeks to go and life will be very different!”
The 33-year-old also posted pictures from the sonography session in her tweet.

In September 2019, Sarah hanged her boots from international cricket, citing anxiety issues.
She represented England in 126 One-Day Internationals (ODIs), amassing 4,056 runs with the help of seven centuries and 20 fifties, while her 90 T20 Internationals (T20Is) accounted for 2,177 runs. The veteran wicketkeeper-batter even featured in the game’s longest format ten times and scored 330 runs.
Sarah was part of England’s victorious World Cup team on two occasions – in 2009 and 2017.
In 2021, Sarah became the first woman coach in men’s professional franchise cricket after being appointed assistant coach of Team Abu Dhabi for the T10 league.
