In the Indian Premier League (IPL) match held on Tuesday between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Mumbai Indians (MI), Rohit Sharma was visibly unhappy with the performance of his teammate Piyush Chawla during the first innings. Chawla had a decent performance with the ball, taking two wickets for 34 runs. However, MI could not stop GT from posting a mammoth total of 207/6 on the scoreboard.
During the 17th over of the GT innings, Chawla made a mistake that did not sit well with the MI skipper. As Chawla was stationed at short third man, he failed to stop a ball that required a simple effort on field. Chawla took his eyes off the ball, and it passed between his legs towards the ropes. Rohit ‘s frustration was evident, and his outburst was visible to everyone present at the match.
Chawla himself was also disappointed in his efforts, knowing that he could have done better.

Meanwhile, MI struggled to chase GT’s highest-ever score as the solid start from the home team with the ball pushed the tourists further back. MI lost the wicket of their captain Rohit in the second over, followed by Ishan Kishan (13) and Tilak Varma (27) in the eighth over due to Rashid Khan’s impressive spin bowling.
Ishan took 21 balls to score 13 runs, and Rashid soon trapped Varma in front of the wicket, leaving MI in a tough spot at 45 for three in the eighth over. Cameron Green made 33 off 26 balls, Suryakumar Yadav scored 23 off 12 balls, and Nehal Wadhera contributed 40 runs in just 21 deliveries. However, their efforts only postponed the inevitable, with Rashid and Noor Ahmad, the other Afghan spinner, finishing with impressive figures of 2/27 and 3/37 respectively.
