The opening duo of skipper Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill launched a breathtaking assault on the formidable Pakistani bowling attack. Together, they crafted a partnership of 121 runs, which put India in a commanding position.
But in a span of just seven balls, both Rohit and Gill departed after scoring 56 and 58, runs respectively. Virat Kohli (8*) and KL Rahul (17*) were at the crease when the rain stopped play.
