IPL 2019: Suresh Raina tries his hand at boxing in Chennai; here’s the video

Defending champions, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) started their IPL 2019 campaign with a stunning performance against Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the opening match of the season. They first restricted the opposition for a paltry 70 and then chased down the target with 7 wickets in hand and 14 balls to spare.

In their last match, CSK took on the Delhi Capitals (DC) at the iconic Feroz Shah Kotla stadium. However, MS Dhoni-led CSK curtailed the run-flow to restrict DC at 147 for 6 in 20 overs. In reply, they chased down the set total in the last over with 6 wickets in hand.

Courtesy their twin victories, CSK is placed second in the points table and are only behind Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) due to the latter’s superior net run-rate.

Amidst all this, Suresh Raina aka ‘Chinna Thala’ was seen practising hard for the upcoming match against Ajinkya Rahane-led Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Chennai on Sunday.

Raina, however, tried his hand at boxing wherein he was going all-out with his trainer. Cricketers often play different sports to keep themselves switched off and focus on particular parts of their body.

With a unique training, Raina was seen focused with good hand-eye coordination which will help him in the forthcoming IPL matches.
