Trinbago Knight Riders trounced St Lucia Zouks by seven wickets in Match 5 of the Caribbean Premier League 2019 at Port of Spain on Sunday, September 8. Lendl Simmons was declared the Man of the Match for his 63 off 39 balls. Denesh Ramdin struck a half-century too, scoring 50 not out off 38 balls.
TKR finished their first week of the season with a hat-trick of wins. Post the comprehensive win, franchise owner, and Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan shook a leg with star all-rounder Dwayne Bravo on the superhit song ‘Lungi Dance’ from the movie – Chennai Express.

The 35-year-old Trinidadian has been ruled out of the league due to finger injury. He is all set to undergo rehabilitation, and will not play competitive cricket for around two months.
Kieron Pollard has replaced Bravo as the skipper of Trinbago Knight Riders for the entire season.
