Following the trend of participating in chat shows or interview sessions, West Indies’ all-rounder Dwayne Bravo recently featured in a video interview with ESPNCricinfo where he dealt with several interesting questions.
During the discussion, Bravo was asked to pick one winner between all-time greats former internationals Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara in an arm-wrestling competition. The Trinidadian cricketer played a safe route and picked no one. He instead said that the contest would finish as a draw.
Next Bravo was asked to name three batsmen he would choose as victims in his dream hat-trick.
“Which batsmen would make up your dream hat-trick?” asked the anchor.
The 36-year-old responded to the query and picked India captain Virat Kohli as his first choice. Currently, Kohli is the highest run-getter in T20Is, having as many as 2794 runs to his name in 82 matches with an outstanding average of 50.80 and impressive strike-rate of 138.24. He is also the second player to score maximum 50+ scores (24) in the shortest format of the game.
Bravo then selected former South Africa leader AB de Villiers as the second pick. De Villiers, on the other hand, has played 78 games and accumulated 1672 runs at a strike-rate of 135.16. He is the second Proteas player after JP Duminy to score that many runs in T20 internationals.
The Santa Cruz-born Caribbean cricketer picked his countryman Kieron Pollard as the third choice. Pollard has played 73 T20 internationals and clubbed 1123 runs with a strike-rate of 132.27. In T20s overall, Pollard is the second-highest run-getter after Chris Gayle. In 501 games, he has amassed 10,000 runs with 49 fifties and one hundred.
Bravo was then asked to reveal the name of his Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) team-mate who has Caribbean coolness. The CSK superstar picked opener, Murali Vijay, as someone who is rich with Caribbean swag. Bravo even revealed that Vijay reckons himself as a Jamaican.
