The International Cricket Council (ICC) released the Men’s Test Team of the Year 2022 on Tuesday, January 24. It was the last special eleven by ICC for the past year, as they had already announced the ICC T20I team of the Year and ICC ODI team of the Year for 2022.
The team for the longest format by ICC featured four players from Australia, followed by three from England and one each from India, Pakistan, South Africa and West Indies.
England’s skipper Ben Stokes was named as the side’s captain, while India’s Rishabh Pant was picked as wicketkeeper in the team. Meanwhile, world No. 1 ranked Test bowler Pat Cummins and top batter Marnus Labuschagne of Australia also made it to the line-up.
Babar Azam of Pakistan, who was named the captain of the ICC ODI Team of the Year for 2022, made it to the Test Team of the Year as well. On that note, let’s look at the Test team of the Year 2022.
