The second T20I between West Indies and India will take place at the Providence Stadium in Guyana on Sunday (August 6). The Caribbean side won the opening game and now leads the five-match series (1-0).

In the previous match, Rovman Powell shined for the hosts and guided them to a close victory. The Windies skipper scored a crucial 48 runs off 32 balls and ensured his team posted a competitive target for the visitors. Jason Holder stood out among the Windies bowlers and picked two valuable wickets to restrict India four runs behind the target set by the Caribbean side.

On the other hand, despite clinical bowling performance and debutant Tilak Varma’s quickfire 39 off 22 deliveries in the second innings, India suffered a setback against the host team.

India will now be determined to bounce back in the series. Meanwhile, West Indies will be looking to carry the momentum in the second game as well.

The Providence Stadium in Guyana is known for being a fair cricketing venue that provides help to both batters and bowlers. The fast bowlers have thrived here more as compared to spinners due to the atmospheric conditions and the green surface. However, spinners also find favour on this wicket, making run-scoring tougher as the game progresses. The average first innings score of 123 at the venue clearly suggests the dominance of bowlers over batters at this particular venue. Still, we can expect a thrilling encounter between the two strong sides.
