Indian all-rounder Shardul Thakur celebrated his 32nd birthday on Monday, October 16. On this special occasion, he spent quality time with loved ones in Pune ahead of India’s next ODI World Cup 2023 match against Bangladesh.

It is worth noting that just a couple of days before his birthday, Shardul was in the spotlight as he represented India in a high-stakes match against arch-rivals Pakistan. Though he only bowled two overs, India successfully managed to clinch a convincing victory over the Green team as the Pakistani innings crumbled under the relentless attack of other Indian bowlers.

In a heartwarming gesture, Shardul gave fans a sneak peek into his birthday celebrations with his family. On his special day, Shardul spent quality time with his wife, Mittali Parulkar, and close ones. It is worth mentioning that Shardul tied the knot with Mitali in a grand ceremony on February 26 earlier this year.

Shardul shared the images and videos of the private birthday celebration on his Instagram account, captioning the post with, “Felt an year younger.”

Shardul’s promising international stats

Shardul’s journey in international cricket has been an impressive one so far. He has represented India in 81 international matches across formats, bagging 127 international wickets. At the same time, his contribution with the bat is also nothing short of extraordinary. The Palghar born cricketer has amassed 703 runs in international cricket, including five half-centuries, showcasing his ability to make an impact in different facets of the game.
